Rapper Chris Brown responded to the rape allegations that led to his arrest in Paris Tuesday, posting on Instagram that the claim was “false.” “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! [sic]” the 29-year-old rapper wrote in an Instagram caption. “FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL [sic] AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” He paired the caption with a photo that reads: “This b!tch lyin.” Brown was taken into custody in connection to allegations of “aggravated rape and drug infractions” following a night out on January 15. According to French media, a 24-year-old woman filed a complaint with police. She reportedly claimed Brown, a friend, and his bodyguard raped her in Brown’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel suite. According to ABC News, Brown was released from custody later Tuesday and the investigation is still ongoing. On Tuesday evening, TMZ reported Brown intends to file a defamation suit against his accuser. “He vigorously challenges the charges against him,” his lawyer, Raphael Chiche, told TMZ. “A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.”
