NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell admitted that the league never contacted Revel Casino for the elevator video of Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer. "We did not ask the Atlantic City casino directly for the video," Goddell said in a letter to NFL team owners and presidents sent Wednesday. "Our longstanding policy in matters like this...is to cooperate with law enforcement and take no action to interfere with the criminal justice system," adding that New Jersey law allegedly prohibited Revel from handing over the tape—though it certainly can't stop the NFL from asking, anyway. TMZ said the NFL could've asked them for the video but didn't. The owner of the Baltimore Ravens said Tuesday his organization stopped investigating Rice just a few weeks after he was caught dragging unconscious Janay Palmer out of an elevator. Steve Bisciotti said the team "halted our fact-finding" in March, a month after Rice was arrested.
