Officials released for the first time on Tuesday the 911 calls from the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Some of the calls were made on behalf of those who were trapped in the nightclub at the time, including one call in which a man stated his girlfriend was hiding the bathroom, texting him so the shooter wouldn’t hear, ABC News reported. “There’s like 18 people, two are dead, they’re in the bathroom," he can be heard saying in the audio recording. “They’re all scared to death, they all think they’re gonna die.” Other calls to the 911 dispatchers were from those who had fled the scene. 49 people were killed in the attack during the early hours of Sunday, June 12.
