Amazon ‘Reviewing’ Website After Suggesting Bomb-Making Items

Amazon has announced that it is reviewing its site after a report from a British television station found that the online retail giant’s algorithms suggested bomb-making ingredients in the “frequently bought together” category. Customers were reportedly buying routine household ingredients, but the site was suggesting other items that would help make explosives, reported Channel 4 News. “In light of recent events, we are reviewing our website to ensure that all these products are presented in an appropriate manner,” said a company statement. “We also continue to work closely with police and law-enforcement agencies when circumstances arise where we can assist their investigations.”
