A second federal judge on Tuesday issued an injunction blocking the Trump administration from ending the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis’ order follows one last month which said the administration was required to continue processing DACA applications. The program shields undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children from deportation. It officially expires on March 5, and Congress is working out a bipartisan solution that would codify those DACA protections while enhancing border security and possibly curbing legal immigration.
