Ariana Grande surprised victims of the Manchester bombing at a local children’s hospital on Friday. The pop star posted photos of her unexpected visit to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital on her Instagram page, with her young fans smiling as she offered them hugs in their hospital beds. Peter Mann, the father of one of Grande’s injured fans, also posted images from the visit. “I could burst! Never seen Jaden so happy. Even cried again myself,” he wrote. “This means more to us than all the amazing things people have done this week,” he wrote. Grande’s visit came ahead of her One Love Manchester concert scheduled for Sunday to benefit victims of the bombing, which left 22 people dead and dozens wounded. Police made their 17th arrest in the case on Friday, identifying the suspect only as a 24-year-old man. Eleven people remain in custody in the ongoing investigation.
