With Jerry Hall as her mother and Mick Jagger as her father, it seems only fitting that 18-year-old Georgia May Jagger gravitates toward the entertainment industry. As her modeling career escalates, so does the risqué factor in her shoots as this EXCLUSIVE video shows.
Her papa was a Rolling Stone and her mother was a supermodel, but Georgia May Jagger is ready to break away from the notoriety of her famous lineage and create a name for herself. With her parents’ most notable attributes to her advantage—Jerry Hall’s luxurious locks and Mick Jagger’s luscious lips—the barely legal British-born model has become a recognizable face in fashion. Now 18, Jagger got her start with a single shot for Uniqlo when she was 14 or 15. She has since gone on to larger, more visible campaigns, from Versace to Rimmel London to Hudson Jeans, a company for which Jagger spent the majority of her weekend topless. But it’s all with the approval of her enormously famous and endlessly encouraging parents. “They totally support me and they think it’s a really good thing for me to do while I’m young,” Jagger told The Daily Beast. “It’s a great way to travel and meet people.”
“Be nice to everyone,” Jerry Hall told her daughter. “Even if you don’t think that they’re a good person, be as nice as you can be.”
• See Georgia May Jagger's earlier, but equally risque photo shoot in another exclusive video for The Daily Beast.Fashion has been in the young Jagger’s blood since she was a child. “When I was younger I used to be my mum’s stylist, picking things out for her to wear,” she told The Daily Mail. “I’d say to her, ‘If anybody asks you who styled you tonight say, “Georgia”.’ Though her name was certainly identifiable, Jagger’s look made her stand out. Comparisons were soon drawn between the burgeoning model and iconic beauty Brigitte Bardot. “I don’t see it as much as other people do,” Jagger told The Daily Beast of the compliment. “Obviously blond hair, big lips… but I think it’s just very, very flattering."
Jagger was also flattered when she won the model of the year award at the British Fashion Awards late last year. “I really didn’t think it was going to happen,” she said. “I hadn’t prepared anything to say. I was just so nervous and amazed. I brought my mom and she was sobbing. It was just really great. I wasn’t expecting to get anything like that so soon.”
Since her daughter started drawing attention, Jagger’s mother has given her a few pearls about fame. “Be nice to everyone,” Hall has told her daughter. “Even if you don’t think that they’re a good person, be as nice as you can be.”
That will be easier said than done for Jagger when she moves to New York in July to live with her older sister Lizzie, her best friend and a fellow model. While she’s been doing photography for the past five years, Jagger is now hoping to go to art school and study the medium in New York. “Modeling is really useful for it because I’m not just worried about myself. I’m also watching what the photographer is doing and I ask them questions. I learn a lot more because you’re sort of learning from it while it’s happening. It’s best kind of experience.”
Jagger initially added some shock value to her image, when taking on the risque Hudson Jeans campaign last summer at 17. In a September exclusive for The Daily Beast, the youngest spawn of Hall and the Rolling Stone showed a lot of skin for famous photographer Mario Sorrenti, who also shot a nude Kate Moss for the iconic black and white Calvin Klein Obsession campaign. But Jagger's career-making Hudson ads, although titillating, did follow her mom's sage advice: "Don't show your bum." And with her latest shoot for the denim company, she once again sheds her clothing, but is still staying within her mother's limits.
