Suri, Shiloh, and Maddox, take note: There’s a new name on the style playground. Little ones will soon be stepping out of strollers in clothes from Gucci’s new kids collection.
The Italian fashion house announced this month that it will release a line of clothes for fashion-forward kids, from babies to 8-year-olds. Sketches of the collection, exclusive to The Daily Beast, reveal what trendy kids will wear to school in the fall.
The girls’ line includes monogrammed galoshes, an itsy-bitsy trench coat, and a T-shirt emblazoned with an image of a handbag.

Boys will be playing Red Rover in motorcycle jackets, cuffed jeans, monogrammed slip-on sneakers, and wrap-around shades.
The Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which was conceived by creative director Frida Giannini, will debut in November.
And it’s not just jet-setting tots that will benefit from the new line: In honor of the children’s collection, Gucci has announced it will make a $1 million donation to UNICEF’s Schools for Africa program, which will serve to construct more schools there.
The charitable bent is part of Gucci’s larger involvement in altruistic endeavors: In 2005, Giannini designed holiday accessories for the Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF; a “Gucci for UNICEF” leather bag debuted in 2007; and in 2009 the brand teamed with illustrator Michael Roberts, author of the Curious George-like children’s book Snowman in Africa, to create bags branded with the playful snowman.
