Give the spaghetti and meatballs a rest by trying out this delicious duo tonight: papardelle and prosciutto.
I love making pasta—it's hearty, affordable, and versatile. I know what you're saying to yourself: " This Italian chick thinks pasta is the answer to everything..." And it is. One of my favorite pasta recipes is papardelle e prosciutto: Tender egg noodles tossed in a light sauce loaded with sweet cherry tomatoes, salty prosciutto, earthy shiitake mushrooms and pecorino shavings. Mmm.

If you’re going to be bad, do it right with this heavenly combo of fried chicken and fresh waffles.
So many to pick from, but one restaurant really has a piece of my heart, literally: Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. Half a crispy fried chicken and fluffy waffles topped with a heaping scoop of whipped butter, all drenched in sweet maple syrup! It may be a coronary on a plate, but man, what a way to go.

These days I'm loving Two Dudes One Pan, written by the chefs over at Animal in L.A. It rocks because their recipes are straight-up, no pretentions, no useless sprig of rosemary. ...I was eating at a three-star Michelin recently where the sous chef was fussing over a freakin' radish sliver with a pair of tweezers. Come on!

Food Destination
No need to travel far and wide for your next meal: Nothing will ever beat the nostalgia of home cooking.
As the Old Italian saying goes: "Repent! Or the emperor will hang you like a baby goat!" Sorry, but I told you the saying was old, not relevant. Anyway, when it comes to food destinations, I'm gonna go with my mom's. As much as I love a good food adventure, nothing beats home-cooking sprinkled with love (and fear if you don't give the familia props).
