Lindsey Graham: Don’t Count DADT Out Yet
On Fox News Sunday, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” isn’t kaput just yet: “This is a political promise made by Senator Obama when he was running for president. There is no groundswell of opposition to ‘Don't Ask, Don't Tell’ coming from our military. … So I think in a lame-duck setting ‘Don't Ask, Don't Tell’ is not going anywhere.”

On This Week, Bill and Melinda Gates spoke about the importance of getting America back up to speed in terms of education, and why they created the Gates Foundation: “We really started with the premise that all lives, all lives have equal value no matter where they live on the globe. So, that's Bangladesh, or that's Boston, or that's in Britain somewhere. But in the U.S. we feel the greatest inequity is education, that not every child in this country is getting a phenomenal education. And they ought to, that's the civil rights issue in our country,” Melinda said.
Dick Durbin vs. C-SPAN?
Not sure we follow this logic, but on Meet the Press, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) said that TV viewers who turn on C-SPAN and “see the Senate day after day doing nothing, lurching from filibuster to filibuster” during the lame-duck. end-of-the-year days should ask for a refund from their cable provider. Couldn’t they just watch The Walking Dead?
