Bill Hader's Dogged SNL Make Out

There is such a thing as a family being too close. The serial "Kissing Family" skit on Saturday Night Live takes bonding to a strangely creepy level. In one installment, the Vogelchecks are grieving the loss of Grandpa Vogelcheck as son Ronny (Bobby Moynihan) brings his new girlfriend to the funeral home. Bad move, since Ronny's brother (Bill Hader) makes out with a pug—one of several eerie, incestuous moments amongst the Vogelchecks. Though Hader's smooch with the dog is the most cringe-worthy moment, Fred Armisen licking a corpse was a close second.

Harry and Hermione's Magical Moment

Though the occurrence was expected, fans of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series had no idea how graphic the imaginary kiss between the title character and his longtime friend and best friend's girl Hermione in this year's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 would be. Fans had mixed feelings about the steamy scene—some called it uncomfortable, while others wanted more. For the first half of the final Harry Potter installment, director David Yates asked the two wizards to do the scene topless surrounded by smoke and haze. Potter's Daniel Radcliffe said his co-star Emma Watson (Hermione) was far more animalistic in her technique than he expected, but she was just following orders, according to reports. Yates asked the actors to get more "pagan and mad" and seemingly, the starlet behind the innocent bookworm Hermione gave it her all.

Twi-Hards Can't Get Enough Robsten

The Twilight saga delivered with the blood sucking and face sucking between on-screen Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in this year's third film in the series, Eclipse. The rumored off-screen couple won Best Kiss at this year's MTV Movie Awards for their portrayal of the romantic moment between mortal Bella and vampire Edward in front of his rival, the shirtless werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Stewart and Pattinson also won last year's Best Kiss title for New Moon and just like last year, the couple teased the audience as they accepted the honor—almost kissing on stage. Fans will have to wait for the fourth and final installment, Breaking Dawn, for more mystical making out.

Avatar Gets It Twisted

Nothing screams romance like two computerized characters making love on sacred ground in 3-D. The first kiss between Avatar's central couple Jake Sully and Neytiri, like the movie itself, was epic. After Jake is accepted as one of the Na'vi people in the fictional world of Pandora, he is taken to the sacred Tree of Souls, where Neytiri tells him he must choose a female counterpart. Naturally, he chooses Neytiri and they seemingly consummate their tail-spinning union as their dreadlock-esque tendrils intertwine. Since Avatar's debut, rabid fans of the animated couple have emerged and hair has gotten a whole lot kinkier.

Glee's Cheerleaders Get Physical

Fox's hit musical dramedy Glee has left viewers in awe many a time, but mostly due to its swiftly coordinated song-and-dance numbers. But when the "Duets" episode aired in October, some jaws dropped for a very different reason. The camera panned over cheerleaders Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) as they shared some "sweet lady kisses" atop each other on the bed. It came as quite a shock to Gleeks everywhere, who were either loving or hating the unexpected scissoring comment on primetime network TV. Some cheered on the teens' sexual exploration, while others called it X-rated. Whichever way you look at it, the are-they-or-aren't-they couple earned the portmanteau Brittana and a lot of attention.

Taylor Squared Celebrates Valentine's Day

The release of Valentine's Day in February guaranteed a lot of sappy scenes. But amongst the teary-eyed, he-loves-me-loves-me-not sagas in the film was one featuring country songstress Taylor Swift's movie debut. The chart topper played a dance team bimbo whose heart is stolen by the cliché jock, played by Twilight's Taylor Lautner. In the movie, the two interview with the local news channel, which is producing a fluff piece for the holiday, and give the folks at home a little preview of how crazy they are about each other. "Young love—full of promise, full of hope, ignorant of reality," the newscaster explains. Interestingly enough, the tale of two Taylors trickled into tabloid magazines everywhere as rumors spread that their on-screen love fest was not just scripted for the screen.

Justin Timberlake Embarrasses Amy Poehler on SNL

When Saturday Night Live alum Amy Poehler returned to host the show in September, she brought along a star-studded monologue. The star of NBC's Parks and Recreation, told the audience that she was prone to "stress dreams" during her SNL days, particularly imagining that she would be late for the show. Then, like in many hot-blooded American dreams, Justin Timberlake appears asking Poehler to practice their "kissing scene." After she indulges, Timberlake tells the world that Poehler is a "terrible kisser" and runs off stage. Unfortunately, that's not exactly how it goes in most dreams.

Modern Family's Long-Awaited Kiss

Behold the power of Facebook. In May, fans of the Emmy-winning comedy Modern Family began to complain there hadn't been any physical displays of affection between the show's beloved gay couple, Cameron and Mitchell. Disgruntled viewers turned to Facebook to create a group called " Let Cam & Mitchell kiss on Modern Family!" that eventually reached more than 13,000 supporters. ABC caved to the cyber pressure and in September, an episode called "The Kiss" aired, explaining the lack of PDA between Cam and Mitchell. By the end of the episode, the two shared a short, but sweet kiss, silencing the frustrated fans and making America audibly "aww."

James Franco Kisses James Franco

James Franco took being into oneself to a new level. The 127 Hours star filmed a short for The New York Times Magazine's video gallery, giving a winning performance filled with love and flirtation toward … himself? In the video, Franco recites classic pick up lines in front of a mirror set to the sounds of some deeply thespian tunes. Franco ends his monologue with a French kiss, slipping himself the tongue—a classy move for a classy guy from that same classy guy.

World Cup Champion Show His True Feelings

Why use words when you've got the adrenalin of an international win coursing through your veins and your girlfriend right in front of you? That's how Spain's goalkeeper Iker Casillas felt after winning the 2010 World Cup in South Africa in July. When his girlfriend, TV reporter Sara Carbonero, tried to ask him how he was feeling after the big win on TV, Casillas took a brief moment to show her instead of tell her. After a quick kiss on the lips and an odd one on the eye, he was off, leaving the dazed Carbonero to recover amidst the rousing applause from onlookers.
