What Harry Ate

What No Saltfish?

Stop Press! The Jamaica Gleaner has published an exclusive review of the meal served up to Prince Harry and 260 specially invited guests on the tropical isle last Tuesday. The anonymous Gleaner scribe records, "For the first course, the curry flavour was very light; in the salad, the naseberry was evident but pleasantly subtle. The sorbet was tangy and was a tad tart while in the main course the pepper in the yam croquette brought it to life. The beef tenderloin was excellent, but I was disappointed with the bass fillet. However, I was very pleased that the carrots were locally grown."

A solitary commenter on the message board is less impressed, however: 'Seriously?!!!! What happened to ackee and saltfish, curry chicken and white rice, curried goat, octail and beans with rice and peas with some vegetables mmmmmm, steam fish and ockra, cow foot and beans? What kinda crap dat you gave the Prince?!!! The prince himself must have wondered 'a wah this?'"

Indeed he must.
