More Hopeless Liberal Bias as Americans Disapprove of Romney's Mideast Comments

Swing and a Miss, Mitt

First poll on Cairo/Bengazi flare-ups: Guess who comes out ahead? Go ahead.

This is brand new, from Pew:

Those who have followed this story have much more positive opinions about Barack Obama’s handling of the situation than Mitt Romney’s comments on the crisis. Nearly half (45%) approve of Obama’s handling of the recent attacks on U.S. embassies and the killing of the U.S. ambassador in Libya; 36% disapprove of Obama’s handling of this situation.

In contrast, only about a quarter (26%) of those who have tracked news on turmoil in the Middle East approve of Romney’s comments on the situation; nearly half (48%) disapprove.

Of course, Republicans strongly back Romney, and Democrats vice-versa. So the key thing, as usual, is independents. What do they think? Well, 44 percent approve of Obama's handling of the situation, and 23 percent approve of Romney's comments.

This seems like an indication that this week's polls aren't going to show the much-anticipated Romney bounce from his bold handling of the crisis. If violence flares up again, of course voters may disapprove of Obama's handling in greater numbers. But Mitty is getting nowhere with his bellicosity. Pathetic.
