11:44 Update: All the focus should be on the Queen at today's ceremony, but it's hard to keep one's attention off Prince Philip. Put simply, the 91-year-old consort of the monarch is not looking well.
He pulled out of a palace reception with the Queen at the last minute last night after falling unwell. No details of his illness were given.
One senior source told The London Evening Standard: âHe was feeling under the weather last night and didnât want to take any chances.
âHe doesnât want a fuss, but wanted to make sure he was fit for today. There is no way the Duke was going to miss this service, no matter what anyone said,â the source added.
11:27 Update: Kate is wearing a nude Jenny Packham coat over a silk dress, also by Packham and a pale peach pillbox hat by milliner Jane Taylor.

Sorry to report that the Queen looks unusually worried and tired. Philip was ill last night and had to cancel an engagement, and the palace were unable to confirm he would actualy be here at all today.

Well, yes, Queen Elizabeth took the throne on February 6, 1952 upon the death of her father King George VI, but to allow for a period of national mourning, she was only crowned 16 months later on June 2, 1953 in London's Westminster Abbey.
That's what is being celebrated today, with a big service at Westminster Abbey. The entire royal family wil be there and also some 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey on June 4 for a service celebrating the anniversary.
