Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, and John Martin: “Reload”

Don’t You Worry Child” crooner John Martin joins forces with Sebastian Ingrosso (one-third of mega DJ troupe Swedish House Mafia) and Tommy Trash for a powerful electronic music track equally matched with a video of epic proportions. In a fantasy world surrounded by dragons and breathtaking landscapes, a man goes on a quest to find his lady. Who said chivalry was dead?

Matisse & Sadko: “Stars”

It’s hard not to get warm and fuzzy feelings after watching this adorable and animated music video for Russian electronic outfit, Matisse & Sadko. The two brothers portray astronauts in space and their companion is a doe-eyed star, traveling through some beautiful planetary backdrops (see 1:23). It’s like a buddy film—in space.

Taylor Swift (featuring Ed Sheeran): “Everything Has Changed”

Along the same vein as Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom evoking nostalgic childhood memories, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran’s video for “Everything Has Changed” reminds fans of what it felt like to have that first crush in grade school. Two kids innocently fall in love in this video while icing cookies in class together and eating snacks on the top of the monkey bars. Wait until the end of the video for a visit from Swift and Sheeran. The pop goddess performed this week at the 2013 CMT Music Awards.

Disclosure: “When a Fire Starts to Burn”

The Disclosure lyrics, “When a fire starts to burn, right, and it starts to spread” might either be about the Rapture or the brothers’ ascension into popularity. In this video, a preacher gives an impassioned sermon to members of a church and then seamlessly delves into the heart of the song (see 1:12). Everyone seems to be in a state of trance, absorbing the music, and vibrating with energy. Disclosure’s recent debut album release rose to the top of the U.K. iTunes album chart.

Vampire Weekend: “Diane Young”

Who would show up to Vampire Weekend’s Last Supper? Just about everyone. In the video for “Diane Young,” off of their latest album, Modern Vampires of the City, Santigold, Sky Ferreira, and other “it” music folks pop up in the band’s reworking of the religious Leonardo Da Vinci painting, replacing Jesus with a ski-masked fellow with a penchant for texting.

Chase & Status (featuring Louis M^ttrs): “Lost & Not Found”

The latest music video from British duo Chase & Status, directed by Alex Southam, is a narrative unfolding through a long single shot, following patrons at a motel. A car accident, a missing girl, and a kidnapping ensue (with a surprise twist) in this drum and bass track laced with the dreamy vocal offerings of Louis M^tters.

The xx: “Fiction”

"Brooding" and "haunting" are just some of the words that can describe the sound of The xx, and their “Fiction” video off of their sophomore effort, Coexist, matches their attitude completely. It might be useless trying to make sense of the dark black and white video, which follows lead singer Oliver Sims through his lonely quest out to the mountains under the moonlight, but the beautiful cinematography is the main attraction. The British indie band will be touring at the Governor’s Ball and Bonnaroo this summer.
