The Telegraph has a convincing conspiracy theory - that Kate is blocking the relationship because she feels threatened by Cressie's half sister Isabella (see our Primer on Cressie's family), who had a relationship with William when Kate and he were on hold.
“Cressida has said Kate is not keen on her relationship with Harry,” one of her chums tells the Telegraph's Richard Eden. “Cressie and Isabella could not be closer. Where she goes, Bella goes...Kate does not like Isabella because William loved her, and that caused their break-up."
