Isabel Marant Collection Finally Lands at H&M: Shoppers lined up as early as 2:00 a.m. Tuesday evening to try and secure a highly-coveted piece from Isabel Marant's collaboration with H&M. No stranger to early morning queues (remember the Versace launch in 2011?), the retailer allowed the first 420 shoppers into the store in 20 minute waves: 15 minutes for shopping and 5 minutes for the staff to clean up before the next batch arrived. Burberry Breaks $1 Billion in First Half of Financial Year: Within the first six months of 2013, Burberry broke it's own record, earning $1.6 billion dollars in revenue. The brand succeeded most in the outwear, large leather goods, and mens accessories categories. Proving the brand is in strong shape, current CEO Angela Ahrendts said, “We remain focused on executing our retail, digital and marketing strategies in the all-important third quarter and in what remains an uncertain macro environment.” Ahrendts will depart the brand for Apple come mid-2014. Vivienne Westwood to Pen a Memoir: Legendary fashion designer Vivienne Westwood will work with friend and biographer Ian Kelly to create her first memoir. "The living deserve respect. The dead deserve the truth," Westwood said. "Ian and I are working together on this and I am excited that this will be my story, the story nobody ever did before." The memoir will highlight all facets of Westwood's career, and will include commentary by family and friends. Published by Picador, the book is set for an October 2014 release. [Vogue UK]
Lifetime Will Go Under the Gunn this January: Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn announced on Twitter Wednesday that his new show, Under the Gunn, will premiere on Lifetime this January. Similar to Project Runway, Gunn will be joined by designer Rachel Roy and senior fashion editor of Marie Claire Zanna Roberts Rassi on the judging panel, while 15 hopeful designers battle it out for a currently unnamed prize. Despite the similarities, Gunn will continue his role on Project Runway when it airs this summer. [Fashionista]
