Like its subject, there were plenty of reasons to be both fascinated and disgusted by the OWN reality series Lindsay, about Lindsay Lohan’s attempt to restart career and remain sober. Varying opinions of whether the troubled starlet, an abuser of second chances, deserved a reality series about another comeback attempt aside, Lindsay was a remarkable celebrity docuseries.

It was shockingly frank. It rejected the presumption that it would be a fluffy and superficial PR vehicle, a Keeping Up with Lindsay Lohan airing on Oprah’s network rather than E!. The series served as a lens into the star’s life, showing her to be, often, unlikable and self-involved, giving a view into just how hard it has been for Lindsay Lohan to ground herself in reality after years of ringleading a personal and professional circus.

She may not have always seemed empathetic, but the situation she’s in, as portrayed in Lindsay, was. At once hypnotic and tense, the series allowed us to see Lindsay Lohan as a human (albeit an occasionally manipulative and slightly manic one) white-knuckling her sobriety—and not a drunken buffalo rampaging through life without respect for consequences.

The show aired its finale Sunday night, featuring what may be Lohan’s most honest confession yet: she had a miscarriage. She made the revelation in order to clarify her behavior in an earlier segment on the show, which focused on the star’s refusal to come out of her room for a scheduled shooting day.

Given that the series was conceptualized as a deeply personal look at Lindsay Lohan as she navigates a part of her life that’s typically strictly private, but which she has decided to undergo very publicly—a struggle with sobriety—we thought a respectful recap of the show would be to recount all that Lohan has revealed about her life during the taping of the series.

She suffered a miscarriage

Explaining why she had recently missed several days of shooting, Lohan blurted out the news that she had a miscarriage. “No one knows this—I had a miscarriage for those weeks that I took off,” she said. “I couldn’t move, I was sick. Mentally that messes with you.” She did not reveal who was the father or how far along in her pregnancy she was. After watching a previous episode where her refusal to participate in filming was explained as “she didn’t want to come down,” Lohan told the cameras, “Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment and I can relate to that girl, which sounds kind of crazy. But I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is really sad. Who’s helping her?”

Her sex list is real

Lohan made news off-camera during the run of her reality series when a list of famous men she apparently had sex with was leaked online. It was a very long list, and of very famous men: Ashton Kutcher, Justin Timberlake, James Franco, Heath Ledger, Adam Levine, Joaquin Phoenix, Orlando Bloom, Zac Efron, and more. Shockingly, the list was real. Lohan confirmed it during a taping of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live to promote Lindsay. “You know what? I’m going to get serious for a second,” she says. That was actually my fifth step in AA at Betty Ford. Someone, when I was moving during the OWN show, must have taken a photo of it. That’s a really personal thing and it’s really unfortunate.” She discussed the incident during her series.

She fell off the wagon once while shooting

When Lohan’s life coach AJ Johnson confronts her about her suspicion that she had been drinking, Lohan denies it with all the enraged, shifty-eyed indignance of a person who is absolutely lying. After a week passed in which Lohan ignores Johnson, the star confessed to “screwing up” and falling off the wagon. She blamed the incident on a relationship she rushed into and shouldn’t have. “I wasn’t considering the fact that person I was seeing does drink and yeah…I had some wine,” she said. “It’s OK to admit it…It’s really scary…It took me a bit to realize, but then I thought, why am I holding this in?”

She’s kind of broke

Though Lohan never actually said the words, “I’m broke,” the star seemed to be suffering financially. She’s had trouble, it’s been reported, paying her taxes and her rent. An episode of Lindsay revealed that the show’s production company was forced to front checks for her rent, security deposit, and broker’s fee, apparently on advance on her salary. On a day that Lohan refused to shoot, the company took back possession of the checks, leading to a dramatic on-camera dust up—and a reality check for Lohan.

She was almost in The Avengers (she claims)

Lohan casually mentions in one episode that she was nearly cast in The Avengers, but her manager didn’t push hard enough for her and instead the part went to “an unknown.” Now, there are pretty much three parts for women in The Avengers. Pepper Potts, played by Gwyneth Paltrow; Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; and Maria Hill, played by How I Met Your Mother star Cobie Smulders. Logically, Lohan must be referring to Smulders as the “unknown,” which is some serious shade.

She has a “Fetch” t-shirt

Lindsay Lohan actually is more awesome than any of us thought.
