E.L. James’ novel Fifty Shades of Grey made sexy sexy again. Not only did it put a 21st-century spin on the bodice-rippers your mom used to read in secret, but it made it OK to read them in public, as any public transit rider or plane passenger can tell you. Today, the trailer for the film adaptation was released.
After a closely watched casting process, as well as fan petitions, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were cast as naive student Anastasia Steele and her billionaire beau Christian Grey. Also featured in the trailer: a slower, sexier version of Beyonce’s dance hit ‘Crazy in Love’ to get you in the mood.
