5. Ukrainian Politician Gets Tossed in a Dumpster

Being a Ukrainian elected official is tough. You’re trying to navigate your nation’s biggest crisis since the fall of the Iron Curtain, and your constituents probably disagree on larger issues than healthcare, such as whether they want to be a citizen of your country at all. There’s also a good chance you’ll get challenged to a bout of fisticuffs on the parliament floor.

It gets even more complicated when you author a bill to suppress free speech and protest rights during this kind of crisis, as Vitaly Zhuravsky found out.

4. Alien Invasion with ‘Key & Peele’

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are returning for the fourth season of their eponymous hit Comedy Central show. To tease the new season, which starts next week, they released a clip that plays to two of their strengths: skillfully poking fun at both action blockbusters and race relations.

3. Coyote Callback

This could be the opening scene of a horror movie. During an outing in the woods, this man thought it would be fun to make incredibly accurate coyote howls that echoed through the forest. What he—and his friend holding the camera—heard in response was enough to chill them to the bone.

2. Colbert Puts Boots on The Ground

The phrase “boots on the ground” has been all over the news for the last two weeks in anticipation of new conflicts in Iraq. A Fox News contributor went so far as to showcase the many brands of boot available to our troops. Stephen Colbert dug up the clip and had a laugh, sprinkling on some fun with puns to seal the deal.

1. Gatorade’s Derek Jeter Tribute

As the Major League Baseball season winds down, so does New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter’s career. There have been an untold number of tributes, from the “One Word for Two” campaign to Derek Jeter Day to very tastefully executed product promotions. This video fits in that last category: Gatorade’s black-and-white, Frank Sinatra-soundtracked ode to the Captain is everything that New York, the Yankees, and Jeter are on their best days. There’s always room for another dash of praise for the number 2.
