As the Daily Beast reported earlier this week, Pippa Middleton is on the cusp of signing a deal to be a special reporter for NBC.
What on earth, one might have been forgiven for wondering, was she going to be reporting about? Given that she is banned by the palace from discussing the one thing we all want to hear her dish about – the royal family – her options seem soemwhat limited.
Well, now, perhaps, we can make an educated guess.

Her unintentionally hilarious columns for the Daily Telegraph featured Pippa taking on the role of stunt girl for the paper, dressing up in a variety of daft clothes (leiderhosen, milk maids outfits etc) and doing equally daft things (putting up the Christmas lights on Oxford Street, taking boxing lessons).
Evidence of their popularity can be seen in the fact that the comments box was disabled.
Traditionally this role is known in Fleet Street as being the Stunt Man – even if you are a woman – and many is the cub reporter who has been forced to dress up in cringe-worthy outfits.
Pippa's 'Court and Social' column was brought to an end after just six months.
Now, it seems, Pippa is going to be doing a similar gig for NBC after she was captured in a series of instagram photos and videos engaging in little country dancing with an old timer in a bar in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Prince George’s aunt was apparently surrounded by cameras for the staged event, prompting speculation that the evening’s entertainment was an on-camera try-out for the NBC gig, which is reportedly worth some $500,000.
Pippa – dressed for the part in a check flannel shirt and tight jeans – was spun around the dance floor by a moustachioed beau in a cowboy hat.
Taking to the small screen represents a big departure by Pippa from the Royal party line. Her new high profile career move is unlikely to go down well with senior courtiers, who have made it clear they would rather Pippa stayed out of the limelight to avoid accusations of cashing in - even if Kate and William are tolerant of Pippa’s desire to be a media star.
Pippa’s party-planning book, Celebrate, was a publishing failure after royal minders and courtiers blocked her attempts to publicize the book.
According to reports on social media, Pippa only stayed at the bar of the Worth Hotel for about ten minutes.
