Richard Linklater’s Boyhood was one of the most talked-about films of 2014 and, as of Thursday, earned six Oscar nominations including Best Picture and Director. The film was shot over a 12-year period, the first time such a long-term project was applied to a feature film.
But when you look at the medium of television, it seems a little less novel.
