Snoop Dogg is a man of many interests. The 43-year-old rapper formerly known as Calvin Broadus is a hip-hop legend who’s sold over 35 million albums worldwide, and released his 13th studio album, Bush, this month. He’s starred in films like Starsky & Hutch and Training Day, has directed several porn flicks, and is arguably the world’s foremost marijuana enthusiast who has his own line of weed and is rumored to smoke as many as 80 blunts a day
He is also a massive fan of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Snoop featured on the GoT-themed compilation album, Catch the Throne: The Mixtape, Vol. 2, alongside artists like Method Man and Anthrax, and famously recapped the show during a smoke session with Seth Rogen.
With the fifth season of Game of Thrones well underway, The Daily Beast reached out to the one and only Snoop Dogg to answer our Thrones questionnaire. Though it took several months to get the answers, the D-O-double-G finally came through. So without further ado…
1. What attracts you to Game of Thrones?
The story. The plot is just crazy. All these kingdoms fighting for one throne.
2. Do you have a favorite character on the show?
Tyrion. Cuz he likes to have a good time and party with bad bitches. 3. Who’s the most badass character on the show?
I say the Hound cuz he just don’t give a fuck. 4. If you could be any Game of Thrones character who would you be?
I’d be my own character and take over the Iron Throne. U hear me!? 5. Of all the Game of Thrones characters, who would you want to smoke weed with?
Of course Tyrion Lannister! He knows how to party. 6. Was there an episode on the show that bugged you out the most?
When Littlefinger pushed Lysa down the Moon Door. That shit was crazy. I def did not see that coming. Littlefinger is cold. 7. I loved your analysis of the show with Seth Rogen. Do you host Thrones viewing parties with other people like Seth?
NO. 8. Can you talk about the tracks you contributed to the Game of Thrones mixtape, and why you think they fit the spirit of the show?
They fit with the feel of the show—explosive and real.
9. Whose plotline on the show are you most looking forward to in Season 5?
Daenerys Targaryen. She got them Dragons. It will be interesting to see how she uses them this season to claim the Iron Throne.
10. Who’s the sexiest character on the show?
Hands down, Daenerys Targaryen. She’s a bad bitch.
