The Kardashians’ No Good, Very Bad Week: Infidelity, Breakups, and More

TROUBLE IN PARADISE

The Kardashian PR machine is a well-oiled one—thanks to Svengali Kris Jenner. But this week saw major chinks in the armor, from rumors of infidelity to a big breakup.

Like United Airlines and the New York Stock Exchange, the Kardashian PR machine also seems to be on the fritz this week.

First, over the holiday weekend, Khloe Kardashian was spotted getting cozy at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas with her current boyfriend—NBA All-Star and MVP runner-up James Harden—despite still technically being married to her estranged husband, Lamar Odom. Of course, this one was not a total surprise since she and Odom have been going through a rough patch for a while. Though Khloe filed for divorce in 2013 and has dated other people since their split, including rapper French Montana, the two are still married.

While Odom is reportedly upset that Khloe’s found a better baller, Harden’s exes are also having a hard time with the new relationship. Both hip-hop model Amber Rose, who has a long-running feud with the Kardashians as she’s the ex of Mr. Kim Kardashian, Kanye West—who’s taken every opportunity to slut-shame her—and the rapper Trina accused Khloe of taking their “sloppy seconds” since they both dated Harden in the past.

Then the eldest daughter, Kourtney Kardashian, ended her nine-year relationship with Scott Disick. The couple has three children together. The breakup occurred after a series of photos appeared on Saturday of Lord Disick canoodling with his ex-girlfriend, stylist Chloe Bartoli, in France, which many are speculating may have something to do with the split, although the couple has not confirmed that that was the cause.

Disick was often in and out of rehab, which put a strain on the relationship (Scott said in one episode of Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons that they haven’t slept together in five years). “I just think this is going to be like a long road of figuring everything out.,” Kourtney told Disick in November, telling him that she wanted “more space.”

And not only are the Kardashian gals weathering several storms—the Kardashian-Jenners are, too. On Tuesday, images and text messages leaked to the website of B. Scott that all but proved the rapper Tyga had cheated on his girlfriend, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner, with the transsexual actress Mia Isabella. Twitter was abuzz about the scandal yesterday, with many mocking Tyga for his choice of partner. Considering Kylie’s own biological father, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, is also a transsexual who came out as a woman named Caitlyn on the cover of Vanity Fair just last month, such hateful language must be tough for the teenager. Tyga, though, was not copping to anything, tweeting that “the devil is working hard today.”

And finally, to wrap up this already no good, very bad week the Kardashian Klan is having, Brody Jenner decided to inexplicably bare his soul to Yahoo Style about how he and his stepfamily are not close at all, and that “growing up we had two completely separate lives. The Kardashians were the Kardashians and the Jenners were the Jenners.”

While he did profess to “love” his stepfamily, he also pointed out that “they’re not even technically my family anymore” because Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner are now divorced.

Nice try, Brody. But like the mafia, there’s only way out of the Kardashian family: being brutally dumped.
