To the delight of hip hop fans across the nation, A Tribe Called Quest reunited last night on The Tonight Show to promote the release of the 25th anniversary edition of their debut album People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm. The anniversary edition will feature remixes of their classic songs done by artists and modern-day legends in their own right such as Pharrell, J. Cole, and Cee Lo Green.

In 1998 the critically acclaimed group broke up due torising tensions between lead vocalists Phife Dawg and Q-Tip. Best friends sincethey were two years old, the duo’s relationship could not withstand thepressures of fame.

Reuniting on TV for the first time in 15 years, here’shoping that time can truly heal all wounds.
