On the Lip Sync Battle, the extra effort always pays off. Think Anne Hathaway expertly riding the “Wrecking Ball” as Miley Cyrus or Jimmy Fallon bringing out a full gospel choir for Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.”
Well, this week, Hathaway’s longtime pal Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who first showed off his karaoke skills rocking out to the Pixies in (500) Days of Summer, and later wowed us with his animated lip sync rendition of Nikki Minaj’s “Super Bass” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, blew them all away by tackling Janet Jackson’s 1989 hit “Rhythm Nation”—complete with full-on drag costume and dance moves that had his The Night Before co-stars Anthony Mackie and Seth Rogen as well as the show’s host LL Cool J utterly jaw-dropped.
Time for everyone else to go home.
