The first teaser trailer for Season Six of HBO’s Game of Thrones just dropped and the entire first half of the video consists on one long shot of Kit Harington’s Jon Snow.
Then, after a flash of bloody deaths from seasons past, including the much-disputed killing of the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, we land on the warging face of Bran Stark, who was completely absent from Season 5, but is poised to make a major comeback when the show returns in April.
“They have no idea what’s going to happen,” the young Stark’s voice can be heard saying, at once teasing the show’s loyal fans and trying to put the conspiracy theories to rest.
He’s right—we don’t know what’s going to happen. We don’t even have George R.R. Martin’s books to fall back on anymore. But after Harington’s face graced the official poster last month and now dominates this new teaser, there is no doubt that we will be seeing Jon Snow again in one capacity or another.
