PHILADELPHIA — On Thursday night, Hillary Clinton formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president of the United States. Whatever your feelings on Clinton, it was a historic moment—the first time that a major American political party nominated a woman to serve as commander-in-chief.

And what better way to celebrate such a history-making occasion than a pro-Democrat Snoop Dogg concert?

Earlier this month, it was announced that the rapper would headline a Democratic “unity party” in Philadelphia on the final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The party—co-hosted by super PACs Priorities USA, Senate Majority PAC, and House Majority PAC—kicked off late into the night at Philly’s Electric Factory, shortly after Clinton wrapped up her acceptance speech at the Wells Fargo Center.

Celebs such as Mary-Louise Parker made cameo appearances, but it was Snoop Dogg who was charged with whipping the crowd into a drunken pro-Hillary, anti-Trump fervor well after midnight.

“Fuck Donald Trump,” Snoop began, leading the audience in a “Fuck Donald Trump” chant.

The super PAC-sponsored rap concert was billed as an event for Democratic donors. However, the audience was a reliable mix of millennial Democratic staffers, progressive activists, liberal D.C. insiders and politicos (including Rep. Steve Cohen, lobbyist Heather Podesta, and Hillary hit-man David Brock), and journalists who were busy drinking away the stress of the back-to-back Republican and Democratic conventions.

“The Democrats, they know how to party like a motherfucker,” Snoop said later in the evening, needlessly flattering the dancing, gyrating cluster of crapulous liberals.

“Hillary Clinton, we love you baby,” he said. “Hillary, you’re my favorite girl … I want to dedicate this song to Hillary and the whole campaign ... We’re gonna stand by you, Hillary.”

In May of last year, Snoop threw his support behind Clinton.

“You know I like to be politically correct, but sometimes I’m politically incorrect,” Snoop said on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. “But I’ll say that I would love to see a woman in office because I feel like we’re at that stage in life to where we need a perspective other than the male’s train of thought…Just to have a woman speaking from a global perspective, as far as representing America, I’d love to see that. So I’ll be voting…Clinton.”

Regarding Republican presidential nominee Trump, Snoop told The Daily Beast earlier this year, “I mean, I don’t dislike him. I like some of the shit he’s done and he do, but I don’t agree with a lot of the shit that he says, so I have mixed emotions when it comes to him … I don’t really get him. I’m not a fan and not a hater.” (In 2011, Snoop participated in the Comedy Central roast of Trump, stating: “Donald says he wants to run for president and move on into the White House. Why not? It wouldn’t be the first time you pushed a black family out of their home.”)

If Snoop’s new “fuck Trump” sentiments are any indication, his emotions are no longer quite as “mixed.”

The Trump campaign did not respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment on Snoop Dogg’s latest diss.
