On Wednesday, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos delivered a commencement address at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Or she tried to, anyway.
The audience was not here for it. DeVos’s words could barely be heard over the audible roars and boos of angry students.

Between DeVos’s past partisan politics, her billionaire status, anti-gay past, missing ethics paperwork, her advocating the use of schools to advance “God’s kingdom,” her comments on how guns should be kept in schools to fight off bears, her whitewashing of black colleges, and her total lack of prior experience working in education, it’s no wonder the student body was less than pleased.

“If this behavior continues, your degrees will be mailed to you,” BCU President Edison O. Jackson said to the crowd.
