Tom Aswel is a native of Louisiana, and an award-winning investigative and political reporter with more than 40 years’ experience. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1970 with a degree in journalism. He has authored 10 books, both fiction and non-fiction, including Louisiana Rocks, a definitive history of Louisiana rock ‘n’ roll, Louisiana’s Rogue Sheriffs, and Murder on the Teche. He and his wife Betty have been married for 55 years and have three daughters and seven grandchildren. They currently reside in Denham Springs, Louisiana, with their two dogs.
