Three days after Cesar Sayoc was arrested for allegedly sending mail bombs to prominent Democratic officials, yet another “suspicious package” addressed to CNN was intercepted at a mail-screening facility in Atlanta, according to a tweet from the network. “This morning, another suspicious packaged (sic) addressed to CNN was intercepted at an Atlanta post office,” CNN President Jeff Zucker said in a statement. “There is no imminent danger to the CNN Center. All mail, at all CNN domestic bureaus, is being screened at off-site facilities as of last Wednesday, so this package would NOT have come directly to the CNN Center, even if it hadn’t been intercepted first.”

CNN Newsroom co-anchor Jim Sciutto confirmed via Twitter that the package is “similar to prior packages sent by Sayoc.” Last week, CNN was mailed two of those packages: one addressed to ex-CIA director and current MSNBC contributor John Brennan, the other to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Sayoc, who faces charges of interstate transportation of an explosive, mailing explosives, threats against former presidents, threatening interstate communications, and assaulting federal officers, will face his first day in court Monday afternoon.
