On Friday night’s edition of Real Time, host Bill Maher addressed the Friday news drop that caught everyone by surprise: that Robert Mueller’s report was submitted to the Justice Department for review.
“I know why you’re happy: the Mueller Report finally came out. For liberals this is like Christmas,” said Maher. “But wait, nobody knows what’s in the report. Everybody on TV is giving an opinion on this very important report that they have not read.”
The comedian then offered his two cents: “What we do know is Indiviual-1 is in deep Number 2. But will it matter? Because no matter how damning it is, Trump has poisoned the well, constantly saying Mueller is the crooked one, and it was all written by the Deep State. It’s what I used to do when I knew a bad report card was coming.”

Maher said that, “Trump has tweeted over 170 times that ‘this is a witch-hunt.’ And yet, there are criminal charges against 34 people… that’s a lot of witches!”
A lot of witches. Later on in the monologue, Maher touched on the president’s never-ending vendetta against the late John McCain, a man who served bravely in a war that he dodged.
“When he ran out of living people to fuck with, he started to fuck with some shit with a cadaver!” Maher exclaimed. “John McCain, all week long, every interview, every rally, standing on the driveway, just hurling insults at someone who’s been dead for seven months! And McCain’s widow, Lindsey Graham, says nothing!”
