Disgruntled CT Worker Kills 8, Self

Tragedy

Had complained of "racial harassment" to employers.

At least nine people were shot and killed at a beer distribution center in Manchester, Connecticut, on Tuesday morning, an official told the Associated Press. The shooter, Omar Thornton, was an employee of the business, and reportedly entered the building around 7:30 a.m. and immediately opened fire. A doctor said all the victims have “multiple gunshot wounds.” According to Brett Hollander, the director of marketing at Hartford Distributors, about 50 to 70 people were in the warehouse during the shooting. The current death toll is the highest since the Fort Hood shooting in November, in which 13 people were killed. A neighbor of Thornton's said he had complained about "racial harassment" at work.
