The U.S. Navy has permanently relieved Captain Owen Honors, second-in-command on the USS Enterprise, of his post as it investigates controversial videos he made to entertain sailors. The videos are filled with homophobic slurs, and feature scenes of women showering together, simulated masturbation, and a mock rectal exam. On Facebook, however, Honors’ soldiers are defending him. One sailor from another boat said, “I would love to go to sea with a man like this that can lighten up a [sic] extremely stressful job.”
