A former employee of American Apparel filed an explosive lawsuit Tuesday alleging that the company's chief executive, Dov Charney, forced her to be his sex slave while she was a teenager. Irene Morales, now 20, said Charney sexually harassed her at work when she was just 17, and once answered the door in his underwear and forced her to “pleasure him.” She was “held prisoner” in the apartment for several hours during which she was forced to perform additional sexual acts, the lawsuit said. Morales is suing Charney for $250 million, saying his actions caused her to have an “emotional breakdown.” American Apparel responded Tuesday, in a statement saying Morales had left “without complaint and resigned with a letter of gratitude regarding her positive experience at the company” and alleged Morales and her lawyers were “engaged in an illegal conspiracy to extort money from American Apparel.”
