Lawyers for Lance Armstrong demanded Wednesday an on-air apology for a segment accusing the champion cyclist of using performance-enhancing drugs. The demand comes after the head of Switzerland’s anti-doping agency denied that Armstrong tested positive for PEDs in 2001—a charge that Armstrong’s former teammate, Tyler Hamilton, had leveled against him on the program. "In the cold light of morning, your story was either extraordinarily shoddy, to the point of being reckless and unprofessional, or a vicious hit-and-run job," Armstrong’s lawyer wrote. "In either case, a categorical on-air apology is required."
