She's back! Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's original director Julie Taymor, who was ousted late last year by producers over creative differences, will attend Tuesday evening's opening night performance. Hampered with injuries and other setbacks, the $70 million production has been delayed six times since February of last year. Taymor's decision to attend Spider-Man's opening night comes after a number of cast members—including the show's star, Reeve Carney—called her directly to invite her to the performance. "She is so proud of the cast, crew, musicians and creatives with whom she worked on this amazing project for so many years," the Tony-winning director's spokesperson said. Taymor's appearance coincides with an arbitration claim against the producers of the show by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society for failing to pay her royalties.
