The maid who alleges Strauss-Kahn raped her—and whose account has come under suspicion in recent days—is suing the New York Post and four of its reporters, saying the tabloid committed libel when it said she worked as a prostitute. The 32-year-old Guinean immigrant’s suit says the paper knew or should have known that was false, adding that the story was published "in an apparent desperate attempt to bolster its rapidly plunging sales." The Post, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., did not immediately comment.
