Michele Bachmann got an official apology from the network’s vice president for late night programming, who said the incident was “not only unfortunate but also unacceptable,” and that the band has been “severely reprimanded.” Fallon tweeted an apology to Bachmann earlier in the day, saying “so sorry about the intro mess.” Bachmann had criticized the song choice and the lack of an apology from NBC. “This is clearly a form of bias on the part of the Hollywood entertainment elite,” she said on Fox.
