Is change always for the better? Hoping to avoid the backlash that counterpart Facebook has faced with its own site updates, Twitter announced today that it will roll out a site redesign over the coming weeks. The company says it is looking to simplify users’ experience with four tabs—Home, Connect, Discover, and Me—which will appear in the same fashion on both PCs and mobile devices. Twitter rolled out the new design today on mobile devices and will do so on other devices in the coming weeks. With the announcement, Twitter produced a video highlighting its new layout on a site that explains the new features of the design. Twitter branded the launch with the hashtag #LetsFly, debuting a new office space in San Francisco while simultaneously announcing the new design.
