The Associated Press reports that Israeli officials say they will not warn the United States if they launch an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. That was reportedly said by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the defense minister to several top officials from the United States. Israel would do this so the U.S. would not be held responsible for failing to stop Israel’s potential attack. Israel has been annoyed with the U.S.’s refusal to take military action or approve an attack by Israel against Tehran. Last week, Iran refused to show the U.N.’s nuclear-weapons watchdog a facility, in the latest phase of an escalating standoff with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s regime.
