Negative Ads Swarm Ohio

Overwhelming

Media analysts breakdown TV spots in battleground state.

Ohio residents have been bombarded with advertisements from super PACs trying to help their candidates win Super Tuesday's most coveted state, and the majority of these ads have been negative. A study by Kantar Campaign Media Analysis Group of ads promoting candidates in the Buckeye State found that only 13 percent of Romney ads were positive as well as 16 percent of ads by Restore Our Future, a pro-Romney super PAC. Labor union AFSCME and pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action also broadcast television ads in Ohio—all of which were negative.
