He may have been pinched in California Thursday for running naked through San Diego’s streets, but Danica Russell said on Saturday that her husband Jason, the man behind the Kony 2012 video, had not been using drugs or alcohol. A video obtained by TMZ of the 33-year-old’s very public, very naked meltdown shows him pounding the sidewalk with his fists as cars pass by. Her husband, Danica Russell said in a statement Friday, “did some irrational things brought on by extreme exhaustion and dehydration.” Danica Russell said they thought “a few thousand people” would see the Kony 2012 video, but the 80 million views “brought a lot of attention to Jason and, because of how personal the film is, many of the attacks against it were personal, and Jason took them very hard.”
