Warren Wants Obama to Support Gay Marriage

In an interview with the Washington Blade, a newspaper geared toward D.C.’s gay community, Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren urged President Obama to support gay marriage. “I want to see the president evolve because I believe that is right,” she said. “Marriage equality is morally right.” Warren also insisted in the interview that, if elected to take Republican Scott Brown’s seat, she’d be a strong advocate for LGBT issues in the Senate. “I’ll be there on every vote,” she said. “I’ll be there not just to provide a vote, but leadership, and I think that’s what the LGBT community really needs.”
