It’s hard to imagine now that he’s back in Hollywood, but the Governator once could have talked policy with President Obama in the Oval Office. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the White House approached Arnold Schwarzenegger for a cabinet position in January 2011, around the time that he resigned as governor of California. In a 2008 interview on ABC’s This Week, Schwarzenegger told host George Stephanopoulos that he would absolutely consider an energy-related cabinet position with the Obama administration, were then-candidate Barack Obama to be elected. “I’d take his call now, and I’d take his call when he’s president, anytime,” Schwarzenegger said.
