Co-chair and CEO of 20th Century Fox Resigns

All good things must come to an end. In a farewell email to his staff Friday, co-chairman and CEO of 20^th Century Fox, Tom Rothman, announced his resignation. “I’ve done the same thing, at the same place, for a long time,” the movie mogul wrote. While his resignation letter gave no hint as to his future plans, Rothman did wax poetic on his past eighteen years at Fox: “let me say, how eternally grateful I will always be for the privilege and the honor of having had this job…quite simply, the best, most talented, and the kindest colleagues in the world.” Beginning January 1, 2013, all studio operations will be handed over to co-chairman Jim Gianopulos.
