Chinese politician Bo Xilai has been stricken from the country's ruling Communist Party, which has released a statement saying it would hand him over for investigation of the multiple crimes of which he stands accused. Bo was Communist Party leader in the southwestern city of Chongqing, where scandalous rumors have been flying around the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. Bo's wife and former police chief have already been jailed for the scandal, and the new statement claims that the politician "abused his powers of office".
