Israel’s airspace is penetrable, an Iranian official said Monday after an unmanned drone evaded the country’s air defenses over the weekend. It is not yet certain where the drone, which was shot down by the Israeli Air Force, came from. The breach is a sign that Israel’s anti-missile system “does not work and lacks the necessary capacity,” said deputy coordinator Jamaluddin Aberoumand of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards. Israel’s Iron Dome is designed to shoot down missiles and other weapons, but not aircraft.
