Seemingly trying to outdo his comments about “legitimate rape,” Todd Akin compared his Senate opponent, Claire McCaskill, to a dog. “She goes to Washington, D.C., it’s a bit like one of those dogs, you know, fetch,” the Missouri Senate candidate said at a fundraiser. What he meant, it seems, is that McCaskill goes to D.C., gets “all of these taxes and red tape and bureaucracy and executive orders and agencies,” and “dumps” it on Missouri.
