Tom Hooper's film adaptation of the beloved musical Les Miserables took the Golden Globe award for Best Comedy or Musical. Two of the film's stars, Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman, won best acting awards for their turns in the movie. On the drama side, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for Lincoln, and Jessica Chastain won Best Actress for Zero Dark Thirty. And the biggest moment of the night, the award for Best Motion Picture Drama went to Argo, directed by Ben Affleck, who also received the award for Best Director.
